Water Quality
Water quality refers to the quality of
water in rivers, lakes, streams or watercourses, as well as the quality of
potable or drinking water. It takes into account, chemical, physical, and
biological characteristics in describing and evaluating the quality of water,
and verify the fitness of water for a specific use, such as aquatic habitat,
drinking water for humans, and irrigation. A variety of standards, criteria and
guidelines, as well as laws and regulations, have been developed to characterize
water quality.

(EST). It has been developed for decision makers in local and national
